Lakeshore Community Health Care is taking proactive steps to address the alarming rise in suicide rates by implementing the evidence-based Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale. Starting in April, patients over the age of 10 will be asked a few screening questions during dental hygiene visits, with plans to incorporate the screening questions into all the services the health center provides by 2025. Lakeshore Community Health Care (LCHC) is excited to announce the purchase of the Maritime Center building at 2719 Calumet Avenue in Manitowoc. Based on the health care needs of Manitowoc County and surrounding areas, LCHC is beginning to plan a clinic expansion. In addition to LCHC’s clinic, Carpets Plus of America and Little Caesar's currently occupy the building.
