Patient Information
Is the Clinic Really Free?
YES, the clinic is free to those who qualify for services. No fee is charged. The Albrecht Free Clinic is generously funded by community groups, churches, foundations, and private funders in the local area. Volunteer healthcare providers and community members donate their time, skill, and expertise to help patients. We do not receive federal or state funding. Like all healthcare service providers, costs for services such as prescription medications, physician and specialist services, and dental/oral surgery services are costly. We do encourage all patients to offer a donation towards their care if eligible for our services. The Albrecht Free Clinic is sensitive to the financial difficulties for individuals and families within Washington County and is willing to assist, but asks for a partnership with the patient. Patients pay nothing for services, but others contribute thousands of dollars each year to keep the clinics open and operational.
